It should be noted that for analog integrated circuits to work properly they need external components. On the other hand, digital integrated circuits need almost no external components for their proper functioning.
What applications do integrated circuits have?
Integrated circuits revolutionized the world of electronics, making it possible to create the wonderful and complex circuits that our devices commonly possess. Without realizing it, every day we interact with artifacts created from integrated circuits.
These can be found, for example, in a VCR, in the disc players that we have in our homes and radios. This just to name a few artifacts but generally makes many more possible.
